We, sorta, as in the “we the people”, voted IN the divisive, digressive and elbowing to the extreme representatives we have now. I italicized “sorta” because virtually the whole country has been Gerrymandered into extremist distorted camps of one sided discussion and views. Of all the voter protections afforded under “We the People” act none would maybe be more helpful than a non-political committee to do sensible re-districting so that people picked representatives instead of representatives picking their constituent district. In many congressional districts the only competition is intra-party and many issues left undisclosed. What is so obnoxious about minimum voting rights and independent congressional districting? Democracy and our Republican system (elected reps do the job of government business) is at stake.
