This came at an eerily opportune time for me. I am “all in” building a nature resort and retreat within an hour of a major metropolitan area — believing humans need a touch with peace, nature and restoration. We know all the piece parts — wildlife biology, conservation, land development, construction, access and marketing. The “all in” as we approach “sink or swim” feels like a floor pulled out from under my feet as I stand over a 1,000 foot chasm. I hope to God that Will Durant’s hypothesis kicks in.
