The cliche “insanity is doing the same thing and expecting different results” come to mind. I live in Cooke county (85% unwavering Trump, we have Trump flags still flying) on the edge of the DFW sprawl — but have family scattered all the way up 287 and around the Texas Panhandle.

I campaigned for Pat Ledbetter for state rep in 2020 — we knew from start hopeless but at least be on ballot. Everyone we talked to agreed that the district (68, bigger than Rhode Island includes Graham, Post, Vernon, Childress, Memphis, Shamrock, etc.) was falling on healthcare, education and broadband/cell coverage and that nothing was being done. Pat was “pro-life, pro-gun — just focused on the things in shambles not even being discussed.

Every single person we talked to agreed with us wholeheartedly and we didn’t change the outcome 1% point. There is a reptilian dog whistle brain link that has gotten wired in and I’m for listening to all ideas to short circuit that Amygdala link.
