That is accurate. Since I am an American I am responsible. The unnecessary and reprehensible killings by me, my country, are tragic beyond words. I do not know how to address that which can never be made right. I can do my part to admit the killing and seek to stop future killing. War is insane, there is no reasoning about it.

I am not a pacifist. Lethal killing can be justified IF it is to prevent even more killings, IF as a last resort it is the only tactic to peace.

I am a loyal citizen to my country and will work for progress being thankful for the good things and living with the heart wrenching hurts that have been committed.

No one wins a war. Violence is not an answer. If we are to survive as a species we must learn and do love, tolerance, caring, civility, kindness, peace.
