Nature does not seem as a generalization to suffer non-adaptive stagnation. We have consciousness, no small evolutionary manifestation. I have a conviction that though science and the mystics are two wholly different disciplines they are not necessarily contradictory. In the most aspirational view they suggest plasticity of existence and it seems to me both also evidence foibles and insights. We self named Homo sapiens now have the ability to extinct ourselves in any number of ways from a war using nuclear fission to biospheric change to biological genocide. If our minds have the energy to move our processing perhaps there is the possibility of our minds raising to new levels of awareness, connectedness and expanded consciousness.
