I’m a 69 year old ranch owning relatively wealthy white guy working like crazy for the Beto for Texas Governor campaign in large part because of the real possibilities posited in the main article and also I align with the sentiments of this response. If you haven’t lived in rural Texas late,y and experienced the extreme emotions and demagoguery here (this county went 87% to 13% for Trump and the flags for Trump 2024 and Confederate battle flags fly by the 100s) then you don’t really know the emotionalism and fear going on.
