I have the speculation that this is a useful article because the term “speed of light” has become an accurate but broad placeholder for behavior of cosmos physics as we know them to date.

A metaphor would be the use of the term “instinct” as an explanation for the recurring complex behavior as say the birth process for a cow and a calf (a lot of complex boot strap things happen from the mother’s cleaning and massaging to the calf’s homing to colostrum). We call this enormous set of behaviors “instinct”, lump “instinct” into “genetics” and proclaim “ta-dah” forgetting that genetics as a concept is a new frontier.

Better I think to seek to unwind the broader premise.
