I enjoy “The Daily Show”, I had not seen these words, thanks! We live in a culture of attention competition where “capitalism” is certainly about money — but in more ways than in just literal currency … its also in the currency of validation and tribal alliance motivated by fear and ideology with scant value for anonymous altruism or open-mined reason based justice, freedom and fairness. Trevor Noah is extraordinarily gifted in wit, charm, comic timing and insightful alternative perspectives. Listening to keen observations entertainingly framed is one thing, taking individual responsibility for persistent, resilient, determined but boring demonstration of honesty, compassion, healing and ownership of democracy is a much longer more trudging and drudging task.
