I am a follower of the one minute geographer series. From my perspective I hope it catches on with more followers as an island of perspective founded in what I find comforting — data … the human tradition of clear, useable and shareable geographic and demographic landmarks. Chimney Rock Nebraska was reassurance to over 350,000 wagon train westward moving Americans. In this age of seemingly cultural acrimony, divisiveness and opinion maybe geography can be one of the refuges of consensus.
