Fear is a powerful emotion and deeply rooted in the reptilian brain and is all too present in all that is human. Politicians and power brokers and the technology at their disposal will often tap into unarticulated but real connections for exploiting fear across whole homogenous groups.

Nowhere does fear manifest more than in bias, prejudice and racism. Lately we have had plenty of that to going around in America — like the pandemic it appears across the whole spectrum of American politics and culture. We humans naturally carry a “them” / “fear the different” inherent energy — it saved our village from another unfriendly village for thousands of years and both the strength and vulnerability of America is that she is altogether an aggregation of villages — almost none from this continent.

I believe we will heal and pull together, in some way I believe adversity will as in many times best bring out the best. In the end, I believe “emotional politics” speaks to the nature of people the globe over and we will evolve to a higher order of peace and understanding or cycle once again through the well worn ages of despots and tyranny.
