A systemic and comprehensive assessment of modern Russian missiles being intercepted may have tangential complexities. We don’t know how much compromised communication planning intelligence, if any, was furnished to Ukrainian air defenses regarding the timing and origins of the missiles being launched. We don’t know what, if any, supplemental tracking and trajectory systems might have supplemented the intercept launches. These possibilities stretch the oxymoronic cliche of “military intelligence” but aren’t in conflict with the military industrial complex profit motivated interest in deploying and demonstrating defense technologies. I’m skeptical of these possible variables but not so skeptical as to completely rule them out.
